The real tragedy is the tragedy of a man who never in his life braces himself for his one supreme effort, who never stretches to his full capacity, never stands up to his full stature. To lie down and moan and whine about limited opportunities is the part of weaklings. To grasp the opportunities at hand and walk forward is the way of the strong.–Arnold Bennett
What does your living declare? Does it declare that you are a worm or a God?
Is your attitude consistent with an earthbound, invertebrate animal that tunnels through the dirt for a living or does it reveal the creativity, wisdom, and perfection of a God in human form?
Yes, I said it: a God in human form.
The human shell of us tends to bristle at the notion that we might be more than “only human” because it is the perfect excuse for continuing to inch along in mediocrity. The Being core of us, however, constantly reminds us that we were designed to reveal perfection through our living.
You are a Human Being, no more, no less.
You have probably heard these two aspects of you debating your future:
Human you: “You are a worm, stop being such a dreamer. Be happy with your lot in life. Just keep your head low and keep moving. Nobody’s perfect. Especially not you.”
Being you: “You are not limited by your environment, your upbringing, or your weaknesses. You are here to reveal perfection on earth. So let it be.”
The truth of the matter is that the seeds of godhood are within you.
You are endowed with free will and you need not be limited by your circumstances or your past. Your circumstances are neutral; how you handle them determines the scope and effectiveness of your living.
The catch is that revealing your inner divinity is more a matter of letting than trying. No man has ever been successful in acting “as God.” You are “crowned,” as it was said, with “glory and honor.” Don’t worry, that crown is eternally upon the head of the Being that you are, regardless of the mistakes you have made to this point.
Your mission–should you choose to accept it–is to reveal that authority not just in spirit, but also in the truth of your living, here and now. Your environment is not your limit.
Rise up to your full stature. Let yourself be transformed.
Perfection is a real possibility.
