Doing to the Purpose

If time be of all things the most precious, wasting time must be the greatest prodigality, since lost time is never found again; and what we call time enough always proves little enough. Let us then be up and doing, and doing to the purpose; so by diligence shall we do more with less perplexity.”–Benjamin Franklin

Anything you undertake in life will contain in it a central thread of purpose, the “why” of that activity.

Efficiency in living is determined in large measure by your ability to identify and remain faithful to it. Stray from it and your efforts will be scattered. Hew to it and your every thought, word, and deed will move in lockstep with the purposeful motion of the universe.

Have you discovered your “why?”
