Summer by Gregg Hake
Summer, like her sister Spring,
Keeps safe the seeds within her
Of glories yet unseen.
But when the sun doth beckon
She yields what she can give
And so in selfless giving
She begins to live.

Summer, like her sister Spring,
Keeps safe the seeds within her
Of glories yet unseen.
But when the sun doth beckon
She yields what she can give
And so in selfless giving
She begins to live.
So yielding to the truth of who we are, does free us to live, that others might share in truly living too!

Beautiful poem. Nature really is a selfless giver, and I think there is much that humanity could learn from that, especially in the modern age.

I particularly like the selfless giving, leads to living. A good motto to live by.

Beautiful sentiment for those of us eagerly awaiting spring. I so enjoy the change of seasons; each with her own gifts and surprises 🙂
