Laws of Creation

“If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. He will put some things behind, will pass an invisible boundary; new, universal, and more liberal laws will begin to establish themselves around and within him; or the old laws be expanded, and interpreted in his favor in a more liberal sense, and he will live with the license of a higher order of beings.” – Henry David Thoreau

We are all bound by universal laws which govern creation. In fact, God himself must observe His own laws. The license of a higher order of beings derives not from disobeying, circumventing or abusing the laws of creation, but from moving gracefully and graciously in accordance with them. Understand this and you will be set free.

I believe this is the freedom that is so often written about in songs and poetry. It is the rarefied air of the high road. It is the freedom that comes from realizing the truth in action; through what looks like an ordinary life. I love his description as the laws expanded. I think the strongest impairment to individual freedom is the individuals limited consciousness of the lines of force from the Divine. You have to listen for those, not ask.

I am finding how gratefulness opens the way to be able to acknowledge the lines of force from the divine. As it has been said hearing the call. The call that does relate specifIcally to our individual seemingly ordinary lives. As we hear and act on this call we can then move gracefully and graciously with the laws of creation making for an extraordinary life!
