Radiant Redoubt

The answers that you seek dear friend
Cannot be found without.
And if you ask me how I know
I’ll say “without a doubt.”

Too long you’ve kept the truth inside
Your scarred and troubled heart.
But now I say to you dear friend
It’s time for a new start.

“What can I do?” you ask of me
Instead of setting out
To let the world around you see
Your radiant redoubt.

The truth of you is known my friend
Not by ruse or guile,
It surges forth from tranquil hearts
That go the extra mile.

I think that innately, most people already know that the answers they seek lie within themselves. Yet to really find anything beyond the surface takes work and consistency, which is a lot harder to find than quick answers from an outside source.
What you provide is many different ways to keep a tranquil heart, as well as inspiration to keep the consistency up.
For any of us to really find answers to the deep questions, however, we will have to take inspiration’s spark and use it to kindle a fire inside of us.

I think the quest for tranquility or peace is the Holy Grail for most. The more we churn about it the farther away it seems. It’s like trying to fight with darkness then bringing light and realizing the darkness is no more. Radiance brings with it a process of purification that has as a byproduct tranquility of heart. Yesterday’s poem on listening outlines the initial part of this process. Thank you Gregg. Your inspired words make a difference.
