Enemies of Truth by Gregg Hake
My enemies are craven
Lurking in dark halls
Heeding when fear calls
Loving idols self graven.
In shadowy vexation
They labor in vain
Enveloped in pain
Praying for liberation.
But freedom comes not to those
Who jail me above
And hate all I love
Enslaved as long as they doze.
Remove your shoes and stand up
Sacred is the land
Upon which you stand
Hearken to me and rise up.
Beautiful poem, Gregg. You don’t get free by enslaving others, and you can’t rise up on their backs and get very far. The only way to be free is to take your advice and stand up on your own two feet.

The saddest thing about all of this, is that people want to believe the worst of others. To believe the wrong about someone else when another speaks, never questioning if the person is speaking the truth, or speaking from anger, hatred, resentment, jealousy or bitterness – from all of the darkness that a human soul can become. Why would a soul chose this as their life’s purpose, only to cause others pain??? When this becomes the single reason for existence, we turn our feet onto the black road of self destruction.

I appreciate your invitation and enjoyed the format, thank you. Living a life that progresses onward and upward takes daily attention to stay on the high road where the atmosphere is conducive to guiding my mind and heart to further discovery in that direction.

Even enemies of the truth are forgiven and called to rise up! Beautiful words.

Thank-you.
My heart hearkens to thee
And here shall I abide
Not in the shadows – but on the Sunny side!
Love to you!

Tells it like it is. Hell has been created and re-created right here on earth by the most sincere of us. The fact that heaven continues to be available also is miraculous!

Love the imagery here…..and that’s the difference between a house that stands on a hill that all can see, shameless and in good faith, and the cavernous dungeons that conceal ill spirits which in good conscience we are not particularly proud of.
