I love this observation by C.S. Lewis: “The whole man is kindled by the shape of his virtues.”
In a world where people are judged by their success and not dignity, fear and anxiety are bound to prevail. Wherever the mindset reigns that a man who succeeds is right, suffering shall no longer be a scandal. When fear governs, real men are replaced by political men.
Look at the leaders we’ve elected. “It’s the best we could do,” they say. The lesser of two evils. “What does it matter anyway,” says the average man, harried by purposeless survival in a sea of woe.
We’ve allowed this. We’ve created this.
Like moths to a flame we’ve been drawn to the light—not of truth—but of doctrine and propaganda.
Where is virtue. In whose bosom is righteousness? When self-righteousness abounds, selfish, weak men captive to abstract powers fill the future with anguish.
Surely, we can do better.
I know I can…and will.
Who’s with me?
I am with you my brother, friend and man at arms… we can reshape the world together, and it’s my dignity that prevails always, which has lead me to many a shit path…. Had I have sold out and chose to be governed by the elect well…. I would not be the upright, passionate, being of power and force I have always been, sorry but I was born this way and despite the worlds best efforts to change my virtue, I refuse to allow my commission to be reassigned by a lesser order of forked tongue coward thieves.
