Actively Abiding

“Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart…live in the question.” – Rainer Maria Rilke

Everyone has unsolved matters in his heart. Such matters ebb and flow with the passage of time and their resolution cannot be forced arbitrarily.

How these matters are handled largely determines ones effectiveness in living. Actively abiding in peace when the coefficient of unsolved matters increases keeps the door to wisdom open. On the other hand, choosing to become frustrated, fearful, angry, or shut down when the heart swells with unsolved matters prevents wisdom from entering the heart.

Wisdom is available to everyone at all times. It cannot be gotten – it must be received. Only an untroubled heart can receive wisdom.
