“People do not seem to realise that their opinion of the world is also a confession of their character.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson
A man may bemoan his lot in life, denounce his fellows, or bewail the injustice of his situation, but in so doing he is subjugating the infinite power and wisdom within himself to the fleeting circumstances over which he was born to have dominion.
The essence of what you speak of really comes down to a choice we all can make. However defaulting to bemoaning, denouncing and bewailing has become such an entrenched pattern in large and subtle ways that the actual connection with the infinite power and wisdom inherent within ourselves has been diffused and lost. It does take sufficient true character to begin to and continually establish a pattern where our world is viewed with the eyes of perspective. As we do wisely see our world with attitudes held true to the actual nature of our real selves our connection with the infinite power is felt in strength and confidence. As we do so we increasingly see and enact the blessings we have been designed to provide into this world. Here instead of knowing subjugation to a heavy burden we know the reality of the words,” my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
