The Courage to Continue

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill

Life flourishes when the courage to continue is grafted onto action patterned in truth. Action not based on truth is frenzy and pointless.

If at first you don’t succeed at something, then try, try, again, but especially in the case of failure recognize that you may need to take a different approach. Factors change; you change. Even if an approach you’re contemplating is patterned on truth, you must tailor it to fit the circumstances at hand.

The courage to continue coupled with an understanding of the factors at work in any situation will, in time, breathe new life into whatever you undertake.

  1. Regarding the subject of courage as well acknowledging your words I have been reading a book called,”The Fear Cure,” by Dr. Lissa Rankin. She cites Four Courage-Cultivating Truths one being that we live in a purposeful universe. Her words,” living in a purposeful universe means that you have faith in a guiding force that is navigating life with you.” The courage to continue does relate to acknowledging that things are constantly conspiring to align themselves with a universal guiding force. As we realize this and look to attune ourselves to it as it relates to our specific circumstances a natural result is inspiration. Inspiration that brings curiousity, wonder and the surrendipity of synchronicity . Good to consider the topic.
