I once heard that there are no ugly truths, just ugly facts. And unfortunately people use ugly facts to justify their abandonment of truth. On this basis you hear things like: “Well if he hadn’t done such and such I wouldn’t be so angry”, “I’ll never be able to trust women again after what she did to me”, or “I know I shouldn’t have done that, but I had to get even.”
Never let an ugly fact turn your heart and mind from truth. Ugly facts never justify the employment of ignoble means. The truth is true regardless of how many people have made poor choices around you. Furthermore, all is well, no matter how ugly the momentary facts of life may get around you. If you maintain your reverence for the beauty and wonder of life, that which is beautiful will be drawn forth because of your presence.

Many people spend a lifetime trying to determine what in the world around them is deserving of reverence. Often their assessments prove disappointing, sometimes leading to a conclusion that nothing is worthy of reverence – the basis often for cynicism and a more or less constant state of at least low-grade anger, tension and frustration.
At the very core of all creation, and regardless of appearances to the contrary, is a state that is both innocent and worthy of reverence. Honoring and protecting that pristine core is a matter of the deepest personal integrity. What other people may do, individually or in groups of any size, need not determine our attitudes toward this sacred core.

Reverence is a stance before all that is seen in our world. It is established when first things are put first.
Stray from this stance and the harsh winds of ugly facts may seem too overwhelming.
Abiding in reverence brings a sound beautiful experience that gently blesses all.

We don’t have to express reverence, or love for that matter, based on what and when we deem something or someone is worthy. Ours isn’t to withhold the spirits of blessings. The manic response of mankind, euphoric one minute, dejected the next, each based on the momentary circumstance , has created our present world. Maintaing reverence, is our basic responsibility, when we provide this consistently stable point of balance, the power of love will do the drawing or the separating based on our Creators plan. The only chance we have to transform any circumstance is to be an instrument for our Creator to have as they say now, “boots on the ground”.
