Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience

Everything is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, both literally and figuratively. My sons and I had the good fortune to wing our way down to the Keys for the weekend, and yesterday was a day of firsts. It occurred to me that these firsts – jet skiing, swimming with dolphins and eating curly fries – were not just firsts, but once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

Every day is a day of firsts. You may have done what you’re doing before, but you are a different person than you were – physically, mentally and emotionally – the last time you did it. Moreover, the world around you has changed as much as you have. Atoms, currents of feeling and even our galaxy’s position in space have shifted to clothe the new present reality.

The point is that every single moment you have the privilege to encounter is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. So don’t be daft or diffident; treat it as such!

  1. Each and every moment that passes, is but a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Why then would we choose to taint such an opportunity with daftness or dissonance?
Our conscious choice in attitude, rightly aligned with this great Truth, could easily transform each of our worlds for the better, from this instant, to the next.
Thanks, for this perfect reminder, on this perfect day, filled with once in a lifetime experiences!

You really are the one that determines the importance that each and every moment will hold for you, and you also never know until after the fact how lasting each moment’s decision will be through time. For those wishing to move onwards and upwards, wouldn’t it then make sense that we should elicit each moment to be our best one yet?

Having this once in a lifetime attitude does elate our soul’s as well keeping them refreshed and flowing with what is happening universally. Your words bring the wonder of oneness and wholeness. Thank you.

Sounds magical! Childhood really embodies the newness of each moment, and having adults around who are conscious about maximizing the momentum there is a real blessing (and fun for the adults too!).

Really effective managers and leaders realize that every day brings something different for the people for whom they are responsible for and too and therefore never take anything or anybody for granted. Each experience in and of itself is different. Great salespeople are the same: every phone call will be a unique experience, unlike any other call that they either have made or will make. This outlook and realization allows one to enjoy each and every moment as the precious entity that it is. And it is obvious that you are experiencing this as a parent Gregg – it is astounding isn’t it!

What you talk of here is the way that we humans should see our Lifes, and what we chose to value. So often we over look the present, because we are so eager for what we would call the future. Believing that somehow the future holds all of the things that we want. When all we have to do is open our eyes, and see the Life in front of us, the Life within us, and all around us. Everything that we need and want is already present. All of the love, excitement, achievement that we could possibly wish for. Life is in the present moment!!! Live with great Love, great passion. As it already belongs to you if you only claim it.
