“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven…” – Ecclesiastes 3:1
If you’ve lived for any amount of time you’ve probably noticed that it is said that “timing is everything” for a good reason. Everything works out in a cycle. Those cycles are partly under our control, but the majority of them are beyond our influence, and in many cases, direct cognition.
Even though we cannot see many of the invisible forces working, we can see their effect. Like a gust of wind that rushes across the surface of a lake, you know you’ll feel it, even if you cannot see it. So it is with the many invisible influences at work all around us.
Some influences will never be seen, no matter how clear our perception. That said, there are two primary causes of the deadening of your ability to sense those that can be perceived: a prejudiced mind and a troubled heart.
My entire aim in this blog is to provide you with the tools necessary to face all that comes your way with an untroubled heart and a keen mind. With both in place, you can articulate your thoughts, harmonize your words and dovetail your deeds with these invisible yet all important impulses. With both in place, you’ll never again feel victimized by the world around you or thrashed about by forces you neither see nor comprehend.
Purpose and timing are woven together by an invisible hand and your opportunity, should you choose to accept it, is to discover how to move gracefully, steadily and seasonably toward the revelation and fulfillment of your life purpose.
Your posts have a magical way of guiding the spirit of the daily current of said winds.
Thanks, for your steadfastness, and for providing a point of reference in the midst of it all that has continually brought my mind and heart to rest.

Trying to imagine all the factors and cycles that are ongoing, both visible and invisible, is overwhelming, and should be! We are not meant to try to contain or correlate all of that in our conscious minds thankfully! The essences of all thing – past, present and future – converge in the present moment, and it is the perception of that point of convergence that permits coordination with and within all things. An untroubled heart and an unprejudiced mind permit sensitive focus in the present, allowing each of us individually to function as apertures for creative influence. What a wonderful and simple vision!

I too appreciate your efforts, thank you. I’ve noted how often what you’re writing about is akin to some of my own musings or perfect timing for offering me an insight that was the catalyst for progressive development. Coincidence ? Perhaps. Rhythmic seasons? Possibly ? But after a couple years even the most skeptical would have to admit there is a convergence of timing beyond our singular convenience. I find when I’m too hasty or tardy to move on the impulses I recognize, the effort and return ratio realized makes me realize life was not meant to be so difficult and the easiest change or recalibation most often needed is in my heart. I do see it as the fulcrum for the greatest leverage in my life.

When a man or woman is sensitive enough to feel and work within the boundaries of the rhythms of life, they will seem blessed to those that do not do so.
In our western culture, we have been taught that it is possible to push through any adversity. While it is important to not roll over when faced with a difficult task, trying to tackle something who’s season has not arrived is a bad idea and wastes energy.
Imagine trying to grow a plant. There is a cycle to the life of a plant, and you wouldn’t expect a tree to bear fruit tomorrow if you planted its seed today. It is the same with all parts of life, but since it isn’t part of the physical world it is a mystery to those that are not sensitive enough to understand it.
Trying to do something when the cycle’s time has not arrived will usually net results, but the plant you grow will be a stunted and ugly thing, rather than a beautiful fruit bearing tree.
