Getting Back to Why

I shared a fabulous TED talk given by Simon Sinek in one of my meetings earlier this week and I wanted to make sure that you had a chance to hear it too.

Purpose is inextricably linked to fulfillment. Lose sight of the first and you’ll lose out on the second.

Make your work to be keeping in your purpose” – Leonardo da Vinci

Trust and honor are things that languish when we lose our human to human interaction, it is true. In the Milgram experiment, 65% of the subjects lost sight of their purpose as human beings. When a company makes decisions that honor profit over integrity, they have lost sight of their purpose. Purpose is everything, and it is firmly tied to result in the long term.

Wow! Thanks for sharing that. Your employees are fortunate to work with that level of thinking. Through meditation and mindful living we become more effective human beings and the same opportunity is available on the company level. A company wide concern to be valuable by interacting personally and taking responsibility for the results they create will naturally be more fulfilling and set a “pebble in the pond” example. As the ripples go out they are felt and seen. We are each charged to make a difference and this helps serve that innate responsibility and fill that individual yearning. Beautiful!!
