Love is

What is love? To answer this question, it might be easiest to begin with what love is not.

Love is not possessive, neither can it be possessed. Love has no strings to which anything can be attached; true love cannot be adulterated or manipulated for selfish gain.

Contrary to popular opinion, there is no fear of loss in true love, neither are those motivated by love disturbed by unrequited love. Perfect love casts out all fear.

In true love there is no judgment, for love’s essence intensifies and purifies all that it touches. That which is consistent with love is attracted to love while that which is not is repelled by it.

Thank God for the nature of Love, being as it is, for it cast’s out that which is not congruent with it…..It’s very operation is the means of our own personal and collective salvation.
The power and operation of Love through the mechanism of us.
Allowing us to reveal the truth of the matter, that God and I are one thing living together. Reconnected.
I am willing to let the self-centered choice’s I make that cause that to not be the case…Go!

I was reading something last night that mentioned that any attitudes we may have that are of the nature of resentment or even responsively not liking something disturbs one’s connecton with the nature of love. It really is an all or nothing experience. If there is anything in our feeling orientation that disturbs our connection with the power that is we will FEEL IT! We will feel the loss of peace.
Why not take it as a signal and release anything and everything that causes our experience to be devoid and open to that which brings the wonderful connection with the true nature of ourselves. This gift is available as we make the space for it.

I think often when love is considered you could substitute absorptive words like dependent or obsessed. It seems it has nothing to do with the radiant, generously giving nature of actual love. Another misuse is thinking we can be destroyed by love. I think if we are hurt in any measure by love it is as a result of being repelled by acting as an opposing force to it. After all love is the only power available to mankind but with our free will we can use it as we choose.
