Moral Energy

“Every conquering temptation represents a new fund of moral energy. Every trial endured and weathered in the right spirit makes a soul nobler and stronger than it was before.”- William Butler Yeats

Life, in a nutshell, is the passage from innocence through temptation to either virtue or vice. What will you make of your life today? Will you stand tall, with feet firmly planted on the sacred ground upon which you stand? Or will you slink from shadow to shadow, expecting the worst and fearing the best?

Joy and happiness are not found in submitting to temptation, in fact, they spring from the well of overcoming and the fountainhead of triumph. You cannot overcome if you are busy resisting temptation, or worse, evil.

Letting go to is infinitely more meaningful and important than letting go of. You can never go wrong giving yourself more fully, completely and unequivocally to your present highest vision of the strong and noble focus of life that you are, regardless of the appearance of the outcome.

“Joy is of the will which labours, which overcomes obstacles, which knows triumph.” – William Butler Yeats

When considering the matter of temptation and the need to avoid succumbing to it, a host of ‘tempting’ suggestions of futility tend to flood into the mind and heart. “Nobody can be perfect.” “You have to accept being a sinner and hope to be bailed out.” “There really is no right or wrong but judgment makes it so.” “It’s all illusion anyway.” On and on it goes. But in fact it is just a simple as what you convey in your post this morning. We each must face this challenge, meet the temptation without struggle, without resisting evil, allowing a new connection to be formed that will banish the shadowy condition and re-open a portal to innocence.

This is yet another piece of crucial information to understand if we are to live successful, healthy, happy lives. There is no victory in resisting evil if you have to succumb to evil yourself in the process of your victory. With full dedication to and movement towards the highest vision of who we know we should be, mastery of our lives will come as naturally as breathing. There is no need to struggle, merely to relax with the knowledge that triumph is possible, available, and is actually the natural order of things.

I do believe that our victories and failures in this life create etchings on our soul. What I make of this day matters for eternity. Will I forge apertures for heavenly influences to create and shape our earth or be the breach for hell to lay it’s lines for deviant chaos? Thanks for your consistent encouragement to choose wisely. Our lives matter. We just don’t know when the scales are tipped.
