The basic principles about which I write on a daily basis are only valuable and meaningful to the degree that you put them into specific practice in your living. I try to describe them in a way that encourages you to test them, that is, to see if they are of truth or not and it warms my heart whenever I hear of specific experiences wherein you’ve put what you’ve perceived to work in relation to the situations you face at home, work, school or in worship.
You may have heard the expression (which incidentally has been largely trivialized and generally misconstrued by millions of people through the ages): “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Christians may feel that they have a corner on the truth, but the fact is that the truth transcends human consciousness and is impartial to race, color, creed or any one of the other ways man has seen fit to carve up the body of mankind.
The truth may appear to be many things, though it is never in conflict with itself. As such, there is no “your truth” or “my truth.” Cognition of reality is either correct or it is not. The truth is not a matter of consensus. We needn’t agree on it, for the truth is, as the Hindus say, “beyond distinctions of time, space and person.”
Of all the questions that could be asked in any sphere of human activity, the real problem lies in the question of truth. When you see the truth of the matter, you are free of the limitations of reservation or doubt and therefore free to act with the fulness of your present capacity.
Thank you for the encouragement to see the truth of the matter. I utilize a chiropractic technique whose founder has stated that he has always been interested to seek the truth of this field. Your post makes me think that there are elements in any field that can be distilled down to qualities characteristic of the nature of what actually is true that can serve as connection points for a generative experience with the people in our world.

Letting go of regret, not re-living the past in my thoughts and realizing most memories have a revisionist slant has helped me tremendously. Thank you.

I observe that far too often we quibble about the various methods we use to accomplish things, in all fields of human endeavor – science, the arts, religion, economics etc. If the principles behind them are sound, then the actual method is of far less importance for truth in principle is what drives the accuracy and resultant efficacy. To get fooled into arguing on method is a parlor trick whose only result is confusion, division and ultimately a kind of slavery behind the bars of illusion. What we so desperately need today is freedom, true freedom that arises only to the degree that we all can put aside anything that conflicts with truth in principle. That requires to take a hard look at everything in your life and there can ultimately be no compromise.
It’s the price of freedom, and there is no greater reward nor shining riches that can ultimately stand against the song of freedom. I would even go as far as to say that everything is at stake, all the things we hold precious, if things do not align themselves in short order for the evidence of our deviations are stressing the limits.
What a great commitment you have made here through your writings to allow anyone with genuine interest to freely consider the accuracy of principled truth in action. All things can heal where there is truth!

I feel that if people really understood this, it would really remove all the BS that comes from thinking that one group has it right and that you have to belong to that group to be right. This line of thought causes a great many of the world’s problems, and leads to the hypocritical belief that you are a tolerant person (as long as the other person is a member of your particular group). The truth is what it is, maybe we can see it and maybe we can’t, but that really doesn’t change anything other than our perception.

” …and therefore free to act with the fulness of your present capacity.” Therein is the opportunity to experience perfection. Your daily thoughts have been so valuable to my journey. Some of the principles you’ve explored and given practical examples of I’ve been able to apply to my daily life. I’ve experienced the healing of forgiveness, the relief of not having to wrestle with the responsibility of the constant judgment of my fellows, and the joy of experiencing a moment of perfection. Your explanations using poetry and fields of study like aviation, business or equestrian arts are enjoyable for their scope and prose. The ability to explore the truth is available to each person and we have our own life in which to prove if we are correct. Thank you for your efforts.

Based on this, I can see how all of your posts have been to assist your readers to begin to become free of those limitations (poor character, insecurities, emotional baggage, fear, etc.). As I have put into practice what I have learned, I can see changes and shifts in my overall experience of life. I have begun to develop more of an ability to see the larger picture, to become more sensitive to situations (in a good way) and feel empowered to bring change, vs being affected by it.
