My Message

“My life is my message.” ~ Gandhi

What is your message to the world? Not your message today, for the moment, but your message, the one that clothes your reason for being here.

You broadcast a message every day, whether you are conscious of it or not, through your living. Whether or not your broadcast of the day is “on message” or not is a question, particularly if your heart is troubled or your mind is unclear.

Campaigns for political office are made or broken by the candidate’s ability to stay on message. So too is the life of every individual. If you find your message and stay on it, your life will be fulfilled.

What is your message? Why are you here?

This brings to mind the “Broadcast” we are always airing. Many think they are the only ones that can hear what’s going on in their hearts, yet this, as the Truth always is … is a double edged sword.
“Come, and see” is my message to the world.

  2. Thanks Greg for your words. Just considering your question,” what is my message and why am I here,” brings up a review of how I am living my life. Another question comes to mind is, how can I truly live the purpose for which I am here. Considering such a matter brings the matter closer to heart and a reawakening of why I am here. it is good to be in a constantly evolving awareness of the reason for my being and so living from a place that emits a message of the joy and wonder of life.

This is a great question! I sometimes think of a musician that I like, that when he was up and coming, had a piece of paper with statements he made that he was going to define his life by. I think that a crutch like this is great if you are able to move past it, which he did. It helped him keep his life “on message”. The ability to focus is something that has been lost in the modern age. There are so many distractions now that if you are able to really focus, you are the exception and not the rule. I think this is sad for humanity as a whole, but it makes it easier to stand out and be exceptional than it ever was before.

The message we transmit in actuality is often quite different from the self-image we may cultivate. It is so important to consider deeply the ground-level motivations for what we do and how we do it. For the politicians, ‘staying on message’ usually means managing somehow to lie with some semblance of consistency! surely there is a higher possibility than that, but it is common enough to try to project a certain image as though the image itself would become true with enough emphasis!

    1. There is a common phrase that says, “act as if.” This has never really rung true for me.
Thanks for your words about considering deeply our ground level motivations. If they actually true something refreshingly genuine can come forth.

It’s popular today for young people to wear bracelets with “wwJd” on it. The thought is to understand his message so well that they can reconcile their behavoir with his. I love the idea of understanding the message I am supposed to broadcast so clearly that I can reconcile my behavior to it. Back to purpose. Discovering our own and becoming a devotee to it I feel certain would be harmonious with others doing the same. Beautiful inspiration today…thank you.

What a great question. A few thoughts… To show that love is all powerful and worth investing your absolute everything into (and that hate and fear aren’t worth a thing), to give hope that the world can be a better place, that it’s ok to be be your self, to protect, to enjoy, to laugh, to think and to be a bright and shining light.
