Imitation is the highest form of flattery, but the lowest form of self-expression.
Imitation is natural to the child, but imitation ought to give way to authenticity as one matures into adulthood.
Imitation can prime the pump of your genuine, innate self-expression, if you are willing to take the pump by the handle.
“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” – Oscar Wilde
Genuine innate self expression is such a key to living a fulfilling life. In the chiropractic field this has been an underlying tenet. I have been urged to add the element of integration to this fundamental in that I see the word genuine related to our integrated innate expression. If our outer self contrived ego is thought to be our genuine innate expression the result ends in clashing with other self contrived egos . Genuine innate expression blends with other genuine innate expression’s for the enhancement of the whole rather than for the approbation and eventual destruction of oneself.
