Jumping Rock

“Jumping Rock”, a poem by Gregg Hake

Water breaking on the shore

Children begging, “Just once more!”

Jumping gaily from the rock

(Times like these there is no clock)

Laughing, splashing, silly games

New found friends – “What were their names?”

Such is life on idle days:

Perfect in so many ways
