Your Inner Kid

Never stop being a kid, Richard. Never stop feeling and seeing and being excited with great things like air and engines and sounds of sunlight within you. Wear your little mask if you must to protect you from the world but if you let that kid disappear you are grown up and you are dead.” – Richard Bach, Nothing by Chance

Life is life. Life is not young or old. Life is life. The capacity for its expression matures, but the essence of life is ageless; it is eternal.

I spoke with a number of kids at play yesterday – including my eight and nine year old sons and one of my neighbors who is in his fifties – and they all shared a common denominator: none had let his inner kid disappear. Interacting with that aspect of people is refreshing and wonderful, don’t you agree?.The life in people is joyful and sprightly, no matter how young or old they may be, chronologically speaking.
