A Daring Adventure

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.” – Helen Keller

The world’s greatest achievers are those men and women who push past their insecurities and pressed boldly into the dark and uncharted territory ahead of them, not by blindly following their heart or mind’s desires, but by yielding their bodies, minds and hearts to the wonderful one within.

This is so true. The unknown can be scary, but it is where most people do not dare to go and it is where the truly great live their lives.
The world as most ever know it is a depressing place, it is only in forging into the great unknown that we can ever escape the doldrums to which most people cling.

I love this quote. Helen Keller is an apt example of a person with the courage to live her own life. At that time, people with with her handicaps would have spent their years living a life on other peoples terms. I’ve always felt she was aware of her inner power and dignity to such an extent that they became more dominant to her then a seeing and hearing persons five senses normally do for them. Being ourselves comes with a miraculous sense of adventure and freedom for thought.
