“Press On”, a poem by Gregg Hake
The rains of July
Now moisten the sky
And puddles
Are forming below.
The rhythmic cascade
Now darkens the shade
And robins
Retreat to the bough.
And yet I press on
Unfazed by the sight
Though damp from the blight
To publish this poem at dawn.
Pressing on unfazed by the sight is such a key! Thank you.

The rain is one of my absolute favorite things. The sound, the smell, the effects – all breathtaking. It can be relaxing, soothing, suspenseful, intense, light and gentle, Combined with the wind (another favorite) completely it soothes my soul. Thanks for your beautiful poem.
